A Little Life Update

Hello everyone! It’s been a while, but with good reason. We have some very exciting news to share with you! Our first little Bae will be arriving this summer! YAY!

We are so happy and excited for this new change in our lives and can’t wait for little Bae to arrive (yes, we call it Bae!). It still seems so unreal to think there is a baby growing inside of me, but every time I feel that little kick, it’s a big reminder that this is, in fact, happening! I am currently in the middle of my second trimester (just over halfway) and I’m feeling much better than the first few months. The struggle was very real with morning sickness! All-day nausea, headaches, bloating and feeling tired all the time! I was coming home from work and wanting to go to bed at 5pm everyday. It was a hard three months, but all worth it for our little Bae!

The Big 30!

If you asked me a few months ago how I wanted to celebrate my 30th birthday, I would have said “definitely a huge, all-out birthday bash!” In reality, however, it turned out to be a very low-key event, the complete opposite of what I planned, but subconsciously what I preferred! Don’t get me wrong, it was still full of all my favourite things: a beautiful cake, balloons galore and a pretty dress! But these days, I’m finding my preference for a nice night in, binge watching Breaking Bad (which I never watched when it aired on TV) trumps greatly over anything else!

Hello, 2015!

New Years Even Sparklers

It’s 2015 and I’m super excited for this new year and new beginning! This time last year I had broken my wrist from a snowboarding accident and celebrated the holiday festivities with a cast on my arm. I didn’t exactly kick off the new year with a bang, so this year I celebrated like crazy! And by crazy, I really mean helping my mom cook an absurd amount of food, drinking Baileys with my hot chocolate and lighting sparklers at midnight with the family.

Captured Moments

A few weeks ago I purchased the Fuji Instax camera to bring back memories of the good old days when I had my Polaroid. It is definitely a cute little machine and the best part about it is that it’s white! The photos are quite small (credit card size), but convenient to hang anywhere you please! One of my mini projects this year is to take as many “polaroids” as possible to fill one side of my bedroom wall of memories from the year. And since summer is coming up, there will certainly be photos of beaches and picnics and other fun-filled events throughout the season :)
