Happy Sunday! Hope you guys had a wonderful weekend. I know I did! It was a weekend full of shopping with my lovely Mummy. Clothes, more clothes, accessories and books! I have lots to read and wear this week (and hopefully photos will be taken!) Time seems to be zipping by these days. As my good friend Betty said “I need more than 24h/day to complete my “responsibilities”. That statement seems to be the perfect description of my situation at the moment. There are plenty of delightful stories I would like to share with you and will write them down once I have a second to catch my breath. But while I am online, I’d like to pass on some cool promo news:

Dace has commissioned Dallas Shaw (www.dallasshaw.etsy.com) to create 5 different fashion illustrations of models wearing Dace pieces from their Spring 2010 collection. Tomorrow Dace will launch their first spring delivery and will be giving away these prints to everyone that purchases something from the new collection online (while supplies last). The first 3 to purchase something after the mailer goes out will receive original artwork! :)

I think these illustrations would look amazing framed in my room! :)

Yesterday evening I staged a rather quick & dirty photo shoot for my purple Kersh dress. As you can see below, I’ve only managed to edit one photo from the batch, and it surely doesn’t do the dress any justice. Please excuse my pose – I’m still learning how real models do it :P

Anyway, I haven’t put much effort into this blog lately, mainly because I was a little distracted by another website I recently signed up for, and also because I’ve been focusing on doing more real world things and less sitting in front of the computer. But this week I intend to divert my attention back to this blog and put up fun stuff, like my on going battle with the sewing machine and some new books I purchased!

I am also making it a goal to hit the mall at least once this week. I haven’t set foot in a store for 1 whole week, which is equivalent to an eternity if you were me.

New York Fashion Week is coming up too! Are any of you attending? I’ll probably be following through FashionWeekDaily.com. So excited to see what everyone comes out with!

Trailers are definitely an art form in itself! I just came across this lovely little video from Dace and can’t wait to check out their Spring 2010 collection! I absolutely love the cinematography, especially the colour treatment :) When the weather gets better here in rainy Surrey, I’m hoping to try out shooting some short trailers, as a special alternate, but definitely not a replacement, for the outfit photos.. yes. That is the goal!
