It seemed like only yesterday I was counting down the days to the start of summer and now, exactly two months later, it feels like it is almost over. Although it doesn’t officially end until September 21, the chilly fall breeze has made a few cameos already.  And that doesn’t always mean a bad thing! It just means I need to pull out the Autumn coats and scarves and get my fall outfits in order :)

But before I start talking cold weather and falling leaves, I’d like to take note of the awesome summer BBQ that went down last weekend. These days it’s quite rare to have a gathering with full attendance, but this was the closet we got. An afternoon on the beach of Spanish Banks with a grill, hamburgers, hot dogs, sushi, fruit punch, egg salad sandwiches and awesome company! And of course, what’s a gathering without sneaking in a small photo shoot on the beach!

On a side note:

I haven’t done much self photo whoring lately mainly because my room is a mess and I am lacking a tripod. But come September expect to see more fashion shoots up as I’ll be starting photography school! Yay!

So even though it’s long over due, I thought I’d post these photos of our Team Day at work! Every year we have a Team Day which consists of a 4 hour super lunch, field trip somewhere in the city and fun times! This year Team Day was spent on the rooftop patio of the Boathouse overlooking White Rock Beach and a lovely stroll along the pier with gelato, compliments of our awesome boss! :) (Who happens to be the only guy in the photo below) And even though I’m the baby of the bunch, I absolutely love working with my coworkers! They are the funnest group of people! Everyday is a riot!

Like last year, Canada Day was celebrated at the Cloverdale Amphitheatre in Surrey! I was on site for a short while taking photos of the performances and activities for work, until the skies turned grey and rain showered upon us. This time last year I remember sweating buckets and baking under the hot hot sun. As you probably know, British Columbia is incredibly bipolar when it comes to making its mind about the weather. Summer here seems similar to a nippy November afternoon with April showers. Weird hey? Below are some photos from the day!

(Sorry for this filler post. I don’t have anything interesting prepared, but really wanted to get my new layout up and running, so this will have to do!)

These are some signage pieces I designed for work. I was assigned as the art director for rebranding the Canada Day look :)
