It’s a bright and sunny Friday afternoon today and I am at home with stomach pains so wicked, I can barely stand straight. Perfect timing, indeed, for this lovely weather. (note the sarcasm!)
In addition to my woes, I have been suffering from a gnarly cold for the past 3 weeks. It wasn’t until yesterday night, when I started hearing an echo in my left ear, that the warning sign turned on in my head. Perhaps this cold isn’t going to go away on on it’s own? And perhaps it has now spread, affecting my hearing. So this morning I visited the walk-in clinic across the street and sure enough, I was right. The doctor said I have an ear infection due to my on going cold. Sigh… I had so many things planned for this evening and now can’t even get out of the house to buy my antibiotics. So to blogging I resorted…
On another note, this blog is really the only place I am free. (free from clients that is). They have infected my emails, cell phone and Facebook – Yes my Facebook! What a big mistake it was adding clients on Facebook as “friends” (Note to self: Clients aren’t friends. And you should certainly not add them on Facebook. They will start asking you about their website/business card/poster once you start ignoring their emails or phone calls). Freelancing is a crazy world, which is why from this point onwards, I will keep it to a minimum.
This summer I hope to concentrate my time on another passion, one that is different from my day job. One that involves cameras, clothes, dressing up, playing with makeup and finding nice little tea houses around town :)

I’m finally back home after two weeks of playing under Manila Sun (and smog). It was a rather pleasant trip despite, the suffocating humidity and musty air. I swam through some mighty blue water and rubbed my feet between flour-like sand, ate endless halo-halos and walked aimlessly down palm tree paths behind sunglasses and underneath a straw hat.

Oh, by the way, Halo-Halos are traditional Filipino desserts that contain shaved ice, milk, ube (taro) ice cream, and various fruits. Mix and TADA! You get Halo-halo! (which translates to Mix-Mix in english). See photo below:

Of course after consuming an exaggerated amount of mango shakes and halo-halos, food poisoning was certain to happen, and so it did. My last day in Boracay was spent inside the hotel, tummy aching, vomiting, and you know.. all the other wonderful side effects that come with. So, I have decide to give up mango shakes for a while. That is, until I can think, talk and look at it without feeling like frogs are having a hay day in my stomach.

This is the beautiful beach front view from my hotel. Coincidentally, I was in the right place for the only 3 seconds of the day these seats were empty. Photo Op!

Sunset at Montemar Beach Club! (PS. Switching between sun glasses and regular specs is quite the annoying habit.)
PPS. I did purchase a few dresses and can’t wait to take photos of them :) They will be up this week. Hopefully. Yet again, I am drowning in freelance work.
